8-bit HR strategy

Posti aka the Finnish Post, had gone through a brand renewal and hefty organizational change. In addition to their new orange identity, the company wanted to renew their corporate culture to be more about people and their happiness. They wanted to convey their corporate culture story in a way that would be whimsically different, get the employees’ attention and that could be used in materials afterwards like workshops, recruitment or trainings instead of boring HR PowerPoints.

Customer focus, agility and orientation towards results were the three core values that Posti wanted each postal employee to know. The world of video games was a great way to condense the themes of playing together and balancing the strengths of different team members to achieve a common goal. We made a four-minute corporate culture animation, which was an homage to 8-bit games, but still faithful to Posti’s style.

In the Heroes of Postiville game world, everyday heroes banded together to make it to the next level. The animated characters from the game were actual Posti employees from different units with their actual names and voices.
